Put the line removal tool on the front of the fuel filter and use gentle pressure to squeeze the fitting into the fuel filter. Slide the removal tool forward towards the front end of the truck into the line fitting until it fits solidly. The line fitting can come off of the old filter now. Watch out for fuel spray.
